This didn’t happen to me because I wouldn’t be that dumb, but heres what happened. I was on a two lane road, and the cars ahead of me where barely moving. A guy behind me seemingly got really impatient and decided he would be smart and pass all of us. Well, just as he sped up to pass through the lane he almost collided head on with a school bus. He swerved off the side of the road and crashed his car into a pile of junk on someone’s yard.Gosh, some people just cant be patient.

well folks i was driving down the interstate and i decided to change lanes. little do i realize this person is in my blind spot. shes going too fast so she spins out. i look back and the next thing i know im going off the side of the road taking another car with me. at the time i was driving my friend to rehab for a previous car wreck a month prior and got him into another. life is peachy and karma rules!

I thought I’d start things off with 2 short stories involving misfortune with bikes due to my carelessness and poor judgment.

The first story has a happy ending, sort of. I was riding my bike around the neighborhood one day and everything was going great. A bunch of kids were playing on one street, so I avoided passing through it so as to avoid hitting someone. Well, a couple laps later I was coming up to that street again, and a thought occurred to me. Why avoid passing through that street, when I can simply zip through it, unnoticed, like a ninja? My conscience should have told me “because stupid, *ninjas do not ride bikes, therefore you are not a ninja(remembering proofs from geometry, if P then Q). My conscience never spoke up so I saw nothing wrong with my attempt. You can probably guess what happened next(and if you have, then why are you still reading this?). For those of you that have not guessed what happened next, here is what happened next, not as you may have guessed it.

No ninjas on that bike

I decided to continue down the street that the kids(I think I may need to clarify something here, they were not “kids” kids, more likely teenagers) were playing on, seeing that the path was clear(they were tossing a football from one side of the street to the other). The plan was to zoom right through as they tossed the ball. As I got closer to the danger zone(as I like to call it) I started to speed up so I could quickly pass through before anyone ran acro-BAM!(Sorry, didn’t mean to startle you).
I ended up colliding with a girl who didn’t see me coming(because as I mentioned earlier, ninjas are sneaky) as she ran across the street. We knocked each other over, but neither of us were hurt, which is the good part. The bad part is that I hit a girl with my bike.

I guess the moral of this perhaps unnecessarily long story is be very careful when taking risks and judging situations
that may at first seem harmless. I also think blind people need to be especially careful to watch where they are going.(Ok, so she wasn’t blind. Just my sick attempt at a joke.) Something good did come out of this though. I have a great icebreaker. Now, every time I see her, I can say “Hey, aren’t you that girl I hit with my bike?” If she says yes, then I will be reassured she has not suffered from memory loss as a result of the accident.
